While they aren't perfect they do show both sides. The claim that they are "ring wing" is simply because the right makes their points better than the left do. Many left wing politicians will not go on Fox because they know their positions do not hold water, and will be shot down. There are plenty of left leaning pundits and commentators on Fox, and they always get their say. It often just doesn't make sense. I am sure that if the left could make their case to those of us who think, and it made sense, then Fox would be cast in a different light. CNN is mind candy for those that don't think (much).
